Support That Meets Teens and Adults Where They Are

Starting therapy—whether for yourself or your teen—can come with a mix of hope, uncertainty, and questions about what to expect. My goal is to make the process feel grounded, collaborative, and genuinely helpful from day one. I help teens and adults better understand their emotions, build healthier coping skills, and navigate stressful or overwhelming circumstances with more confidence and clarity. Parents often share that they want their child to have a therapist who “gets them,” can provide structure, and communicates clearly—these are areas I prioritize in my work.

I draw from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each step of therapy to your goals, pace, and lived experience.

The Path That Shaped the Therapist I Am—and the Care I Offer You

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over six years working directly with individuals and families across hospital settings, community mental health, residential programs, and ABA-based services. I’ve supported teens and adults with a range of mental health concerns—including anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and behavioural challenges—often as part of interdisciplinary teams.

This depth of experience allows me to quickly understand complex situations, communicate clearly with families, and approach challenges from multiple angles. Parents often appreciate that I can translate clinical concepts into practical guidance, help teens feel understood, and stay attuned to both emotional needs and day-to-day functioning.

Earlier in my career, I also worked in customer-service roles where strong communication, patience, and the ability to build quick rapport were essential. These skills continue to shape my therapeutic style today—approachable, grounded, and focused on helping clients feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is active, supportive, and intentional. I work with clients to understand not only what feels difficult, but why it feels that way, and how we can create meaningful change. Whether we’re building emotional regulation skills, navigating anxiety, or helping a teen navigate ADHD related challenges, I aim to make therapy feel collaborative and relevant to real life.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I love adventuring with my dog and staying active. I also enjoy traveling to new places, trying new foods, and exploring different cultures — always filling my memory box with new experiences!
